Chai-Flavoured Pancakes

Deliciously aromatic pancakes


(makes 6 fluffy pancakes)

  • 290g plain flour
  • 60g granulated sugar or sweetener (use less if you prefer)
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt 
  • 60g butter 
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg 
  • 150ml milk 
  • 250 ml Tuk Tuk Chai Aromatic Cardamom Chai

For the rose cream 

  • Double cream
  • Rose syrup
  • Pitaya powder 


  • Mix up the dry ingredients in a bowl
  • Mix up the wet ingredients
  • Combine! +whisk out any lumps
  • Grease a non stick pan with a little butter
  • Ladle batter onto the pan, cook until the base is golden and the top is starting to bubble
  • Flip and voila 
For the rose cream:
  • Use cold double cream from the fridge and add rose syrup and pitaya powder to get that rosy pink.
  • Use a metal bowl if possible and leave it in the fridge before using to make it easier to whip the cream
  • You can add sugar and vanilla to make the cream sweet but the rose syrup gave us enough sweetness and flavour
  • Whip until the cream forms stiff peaks, but don’t over whip otherwise it’ll all go soft again
  • Decorate and enjoy!
