3 Things To Do In London This Summer

Whilst the pandemic is not quite over... London has started to re-open its doors, as lockdown eases. If you're planning on making a trip to London this summer - here are a few things you can do to make the most of your time in the city!

We’ve been waiting for it, and now that lockdown is easing, we can finally catch up with our friends for a drink or two! The only thing missing is the sun… but we have our hopes for that too!

Picnic in the Park

We love London for its green spaces; you could easily forget you’re in one of the world’s busiest cities! What are your favourite parks in London? Aside from the obvious parks in central London, our definite favourite will always be Richmond Park for its majestic natural beauty and its furry inhabitants. How about a picnic surrounded by deers?

For your picnic essential, why not enjoy a refreshing iced tea? Tuk Tuk Chai is the perfect pick me up drink and a great addition to cocktails and summer desserts.

A few more favourite parks of ours:

  • Brockwell Park - check out the stunning views!
  • Morden Hall Park - a little gem at the bottom of the Northern Line.
  • St. James Park - surrounded by some of London’s greatest attractions.

Boating on the Serpentine

If you fancy a picnic with a twist, how about cruising down Hyde Park’s Serpentine lake? Boating capacity is up to 6 people, so it’s perfect for a group of friends. While we can’t do Caribbean cruising this summer, we will settle with that!

A cycle along the Thames

One thing is for sure: since lockdown, many of us have discovered the joys of cycling. The banks of the River Thames have long stretches of cycle lanes that are free from traffic. How about combining cycling with a bit of sightseeing? There are plenty of popular landmarks along the River Thames, from the London Eye to Tower Bridge, which looks even better on a sunny summer’s day.

There are also many places to stop off for food and drinks, such as Borough Market, located near London Bridge. Make sure to pack a Tuk Tuk Chai with you, for that flavoursome boost on the go!
